Ruffle curtains

I am loving all the ruffle curtains I've seen lately.  Whether they be super-girly pink or a more neutral gray, they are so fun and attractive!

Hang medals using a curtain rod

Do you or your kids have a ton of medals and nowhere to hang them?  A curtain rod is the perfect solution. Use a smaller curtain rod, such as a 5/8" or 3/4" round custom curtain rod.  You can order the exact length you need.  Smaller, simpler finials, such as the ci9x or the round ball finials would be ideal.  Place the medals on your curtain rod and hang them on your wall brackets.

Using curtain rods for an art gallery

Curtains rods are a great way to display your art, whether it be art prints, canvases or photos.  Custom curtain rods, with curtain rod brackets and finials works on any wall.  You can choose the length and paint finish.

Cafe curtain rods would also work.  You don't need brackets or finials with this style as long as your rod is not too long.  You can even use rings to hang your art or photos, and they will move along your curtain rod.

Hanging curtains behind a bed

Hanging curtains behind a bed is a great decorative idea.  Curtains can also be used as a headboard. The colors look great if your walls and curtains are contrasting colors.  Custom curtain rods will work, with or without finials.  Cafe curtain rods would be great if you want a return to the wall with no finials or inside mount brackets would work best if you have an alcove.  Use rings or wands if you want to slide the curtains back and forth across the rod.

Using holdbacks on an arched window

Arched windows are notoriously hard to dress. We do offer arched rods for this purpose, but sometimes something a little different is needed. Drapery holdbacks or tie backs, as they are sometimes called, work really well for arched or curved windows. Our round rosette holdback and custom stem holdback match the tie backs in the photo below.

Hanging lights, sconces and lanterns

Use Made of Metal's support brackets to hang lights, sconces and lanterns inside or outside.

Utilize several brackets to hang lights in a work area.  Lanterns with candles inside could be hung on a patio or in an outside living area for light and ambiance.  They are a great decorative addition to any area.

Using crates and support brackets for storage

I saw this cute idea on Pinterest.

All you need is crates and support brackets.  These could hang in a bathroom for towels, toilet paper and toiletries or in a playroom for toys or in a living room for decor.  Any bracket design will work.  It just depends on your use and taste.

West Elm has these awesome apple crates.

Uline has blue milk crates for $10 each.

Hanging console using support brackets

You can use support brackets to hang a shelf or console.  It saves room and can help with storage issues.  A shelf looks great and simple in your foyer to hold keys and mail.  Hang a console in your living or dining room for storage or to hold decorative items.  You could hang one under your television to hold remotes, DVD's and more.
